• National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the BhashaNet portal.
• It aims to create a multilingual internet where local language website names and email IDs work seamlessly everywhere.
• It is developed by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing with support of the NIXI.

CBI, Europol Sign Working Arrangement

• Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) signed a Working Arrangement for establishing cooperative relations between the law enforcement authorities of these two organisations.

International

IMF agreement with Sri Lanka

• IMF team has reached a staff-level agreement with Sri Lanka for the next phase that would enable it access to USD 337 million from the nearly USD 3 billion bailout approved in 2023 for the cash-strapped country.
• Sri Lanka had defaulted on its external debt commitments in April 2022 during its worst ever economic crisis.

SCO Startup Forum 

• The fourth edition of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Startup Forum was organized in New Delhi.
• The initiative focused on broadening startup interactions among the SCO Member States, fostering an environment conducive to innovation, promoting job creation, and inspiring young talent to develop innovative solutions.
