e-Sakshya, Nyaya Setu, Nyaya Shruti and e-Summon apps

 

  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the e-Sakshya, Nyaya Setu, Nyaya Shruti and e-Summon apps for the three new criminal laws in Chandigarh.
  • He also inaugurated the 24×7 water supply pilot project in Manimajra, Chandigarh.

The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita replaced Indian Penal Code, 1860 Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita replaced Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam replaced Indian Evidence Act, 1872

India's first AI Anganwadi Centre

 

  • Governor Anandiben Patel inaugurated India's first Artificial Intelligence (AI) Anganwadi Centre in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

  • Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal inaugurated Biofach India 2024, Natural Expo India and Millets India in New Delhi.
  • He also unveiled APEDA's report on "Study of Indian Organic Market and Export Promotion Strategy" carried out by CRISIL.

Gas Production

 

  • Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated that the country has achieved a new record in the field of gas production. The gas production in 2020-21 was 28.7 BCM and increased to 36.43 BCM in 2023-24 and projected that the gas production in 2026 will be 45.3 BCM.

Tactical Ballistic Missile System of North Korea

 

  • North Korea has unveiled a new tactical ballistic missile system, with 250 launchers. The system, possibly the "Hwasong-11" launcher, is expected to be deployed near the South Korean border.
