Clean Godavari Bond

India–Maldives Free Trade Agreement Negotiations

- The first round of negotiations for the India–Maldives Free Trade Agreement (FTA) concluded successfully after virtual discussions held from 29 June to 7 July 2026.
- Both countries reported substantial progress and broad convergence across eight technical sessions covering eight distinct policy areas.

- Archipelago Structure: It is a chain of 26 natural atolls comprising over 1,192 coral islands situated in the Laccadive Sea.
