6 Villages in Kathua District Included in VVP-II

  • Six villages (Bobia, Kadiala, Gajnal, Karol Krishna, Rathua, and Gujjar Chak) in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir have been included in the 'Vibrant Villages Program-II' (VVP-II).

‘Vibrant Villages Program–II’ (VVP–II) :

  • Total Budget and Duration: ₹6,839 crore; valid until the financial year 2028-29.

  • Coverage: 1,954 villages located across 334 blocks in 17 states/Union Territories of the country will be developed.

‘Vibrant Villages Program’ (VVP-I):

  • Location: It was launched from Kibithoo village, which is India's easternmost village, located in the Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Inauguration of High-Speed ​​Bullet Train Manufacturing Plant ‘Aditya’

  • Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated ‘Aditya’—a high-speed bullet train manufacturing plant—at BEML’s Thippasandra complex in Bengaluru.
