About PRAGATI
- Full Form: Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation
- Nature: An ICT (Information and Communication Technology)–based multi-modal platform
- Development:

- With technical support from the National Informatics Centre (NIC)

- To enhance coordination between the Central and State Governments
- To monitor major projects

Highlights of the 50th PRAGATI Meeting
- The Prime Minister reviewed five major infrastructure projects related to:

- Roads
- Railways
- Power
- Water Resources
- Coal
- These projects are spread across five States.
- Total project cost: More than ₹40,000 crore.
Scale and Impact
- Over the years, the PRAGATI-led ecosystem has helped fast-track projects worth more than ₹85 lakh crore.
- Since 2014:

- 377 projects have been reviewed under PRAGATI.
- 3,162 issues were identified.
- 2,958 issues (around 94%) have been resolved.
- This has significantly reduced:

- Project delays
- Cost overruns
- Coordination failures
Implementation of Long-Pending Projects
- Several projects that had been stalled for decades were completed or decisively advanced after being brought under the PRAGATI platform.
Major Projects Reviewed
- Bogibeel Rail-Road Bridge (Assam): Conceptualised in 1997
- Jammu–Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link: Work started in 1995
- Navi Mumbai International Airport: Conceived in 1997
- Modernisation and expansion of Bhilai Steel Plant: Approved in 2007
- Gadarwara and Lara Super Thermal Power Projects: Approved in 2008 and 2009, respectively
Review of PM SHRI Schools Scheme
- The Prime Minister emphasised that the scheme should:

- Go beyond infrastructure creation
- Become a national benchmark for future-ready and outcome-based school education
- States were advised to:

- Monitor the scheme at the Chief Secretary level
- Encourage senior officials to visit schools
- PM SHRI Schools should serve as model schools for other State-run schools.
