- The Union Minister of State for Atomic Energy, Dr. Jitendra Singh, introduced the “Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for India’s Transformation Bill, 2025” in the Lok Sabha on 15 December 2025.

- To fulfill its liability under the Bill, the Central Government has established a Nuclear Liability Fund.

- By 2047: To increase India’s nuclear energy capacity to 100 gigawatts (GW) (currently around 8–9 GW).
- By 2070: To achieve the target of Net Zero carbon emissions, with nuclear energy playing a crucial role as a baseload power source.

Viksit Bharat Education Foundation Bill, 2025
- The Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, introduced the Viksit Bharat Education Foundation Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha. The Bill has been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for detailed examination.

Pension Administration System (SPARSH) Initiative
- Under the Pension Administration System (SPARSH) initiative, more than 3.1 million defense pensioners in India and Nepal have been enrolled as of November 2025.
Key achievements include:
- This is a flagship initiative of Digital India, operated by the Defence Accounts Department through PCDA (Pensions), Prayagraj.
- SPARSH has enhanced transparency by bringing together over 45,000 agencies onto a single integrated digital platform, reducing the pension disbursement time from 56 days to 20 days.
- As of November 30, 20.94 lakh digital life certificates have been issued.
- A special arrangement between India and Nepal allows for the transfer of pension accounts of ex-servicemen, benefiting 31.69 lakh pensioners.
- Disbursement: In the financial year 2024-25, Rs. 1,57,681 crore from the defence pension budget was disbursed through SPARSH on a real-time basis. Under One Rank One Pension-III, implemented in July 2024, a rapid disbursement of Rs. 1,224.76 crore to 20.17 lakh beneficiaries was made possible in just 15 days.

India’s Growth Rate
- According to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, India is emerging as the fastest-growing major economy, recording a growth rate of 8.2%, compared to the global growth rate of 3.2%.
- In the current financial year, all major global institutions have revised India’s growth projections upward, reflecting strong economic fundamentals.

Unemployment Rate in India: November 2025
- According to the Monthly Labour Force and Unemployment Data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), India’s unemployment rate declined to 4.7% in November 2025, marking the lowest level in the past eight months.
