Launch of NCRRI

'Wolf Snake' Discovered

- Scientists have discovered a new species of wolf snake, scientifically named Lycodon irwini, in the forests of Great Nicobar Island.
- This species is named in honor of wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin and is brown or bluish-black in color.
- This snake is extremely rare and may be considered "endangered."
