CII Partnership Summit 2025

Context:

 

  • The 30th Partnership Summit organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was held from 14 to 15 November 2025 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Key Points:

  • Event: 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025
  • Host: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (Andhra University Engineering College Campus)
  • Dates: 14–15 November 2025 (Two-day event)
  • Organizers: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh
  • Theme: “Progressive Partnerships – India’s Roadmap for Developed India 2047”
  • Inaugurated by: Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan
  • Delegates: Around 2,500 to 3,000 delegates from approximately 45 to 77 countries participated in this 30th edition.
  • Key Personalities: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal, Governor of Andhra Pradesh S. Abdul Nazeer, and prominent industrialists such as Yusuff Ali, Baba Kalyani, and Karan Adani attended the inaugural session.
  • State Participation: Andhra Pradesh hosted this summit for the fourth time.

Investment and Outcomes:

  • The summit served as a major platform to showcase Andhra Pradesh as a preferred investment destination, leading to major investment announcements.
  • MoUs: Around 410 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed across various sectors.
  • Expected Investment: These MoUs are anticipated to attract total investments of approximately ₹9.76 lakh crore (around 117 billion USD).
  • Employment Generation: It is estimated that around 7.48 lakh employment opportunities will be created.
  • State Vision: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu set a target of attracting 0.5 trillion USD in investments and generating 5 million (50 lakh) jobs for the state.

Major Investment Announcements:

  • Champions Group announced an investment of ₹891 crore in Amravati and Visakhapatnam for tourism, smart cities, and innovation projects, including data centers, a crystal lagoon beach, and a yacht club.
  • An agreement was also signed to start a direct flight service between Singapore and Vijayawada.

Achievement for Andhra Pradesh:

  • The Andhra Pradesh government signed MoUs with nearly 400 companies, attracting over ₹11 lakh crore in investments.
  • This investment will boost key sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, IT, and data centers.
