Curriculum on AI

• The Indian Ministry of Education has announced that a curriculum on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Thinking (CT) will be introduced in all schools across India from Class 3 onwards, starting from the 2026-27 academic session.
• An expert committee, chaired by Professor Karthik Raman of IIT Madras and guided by CBSE and NCERT, is developing the curriculum to align with NEP 2020 and NCF SE 2023.

77 RR Batch of the Indian Police Service

• Lok Sabha Speaker, Shri Om Birla inaugurated a two-day Appreciation Course for the 77 RR Batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, organized by the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE) in New Delhi.

Legal Metrology (GATC) Rules, 2025

• The Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has notified significant amendments to the Legal Metrology (Government Approved Test Centre) Rules, 2013.
• The amendments are aligned with the recommendations of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) and ensure greater accuracy and accountability in measurement based transactions but also enhance India’s credibility in global trade and standards alignment.

Model Yoth Gram Sabha

• The Ministry of Panchayati Raj, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (Department of School Education & Literacy) and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, launched the Model Youth Gram Sabha (MYGS) initiative in New Delhi.

“District Collectors’ Peyjal Samvad”

• The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, organised the second edition of the ‘District Collectors’ Peyjal Samvad’ in New Delhi.
• This national dialogue was aimed at empowering district leadership to strengthen local governance, ensure source sustainability, and enhance accountability in rural water service delivery under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

• External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar attended and spoke at the German Unity Day celebrations held at the German Embassy in New Delhi.
• German Unity Day is officially celebrated annually on October 3rd, but the reception in New Delhi was held later in the month.

India Granted US Sanctions Waiver for Chabahar Port

• India has received a six-month waiver from U.S. sanctions for the development and operation of the Chabahar Port in Iran, as confirmed by India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
• This extension secures the project until April 2026 and reaffirms India's commitment to the port's role as a regional trade and humanitarian aid gateway to Afghanistan and Central Asia.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the International Aryan Summit 2025 at Rohini, New Delhi.

• The 3 Day Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) 2025 organised by the Indian Navy, with the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) concluded at Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.
• The theme for the 7th edition of the IPRD was "Promoting Holistic Maritime Security and Growth: Regional Capacity-Building and Capability-Enhancement".

• Prasar Bharati, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture announced 67th Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan is scheduled to take place from November 2nd to November 29th, 2025, across 24 centres nationwide.

• 3rd National Conference on the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) was organised by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs in New Delhi.
• Delegates unanimously adopted the New Delhi Resolution on NeVA 2025, reaffirming shared commitment to accelerate adoption of NeVA and deepen cooperative federalism in digital governance.

Nauradehi Sanctuary

• Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced Nauradehi Sanctuary will become the third home for cheetahs in the State after Kuno National Park and Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary.
• Cheetahs will be brought from Namibia in Africa and released into the Nauradehi Sanctuary.
