Launch of Online National Drug Licensing System (ONDLS)

- India has launched an Online National Drug Licensing System (ONDLS) aimed at making the drug licensing process digital, transparent, prompt, and accountable.
- It has been developed in collaboration with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) and C-DAC.

Under this system, processes such as new licensing, renewal, retention fee submission, and issuance of various certificates related to medical stores, drug manufacturing, and blood banks can be carried out online. |

- Mining company Vedanta Group has announced an additional investment of ₹1 lakh crore in Odisha, which is expected to boost industrial development and employment generation in the state.
