- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved four railway projects worth ₹24,634 crore.
Project Overview
- Approved Cost: ₹24,634 crore
- Coverage Area: 18 districts across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh
- Network Expansion: Approximately 894 km added to the existing railway network
- Timeline for completion of projects: 2030-31
Primary Objectives:
- To increase the capacity of the railway network
- To reduce congestion on high-density routes
- To improve the speed and reliability of passenger and freight transport
