4th Kautilya Economic Conclave (KEC 2025)

  • The 4th Kautilya Economic Conclave (KEC 2025) was organized from 3rd to 5th October 2025 at Taj Palace, New Delhi.

Two-day National Training Workshop on ‘NAKSHA’ Programme

  • The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) and the Department of Land Resources (DoLR) under the Ministry of Rural Development have jointly inaugurated a two-day National Training Workshop on the ‘NAKSHA’ programme.
  • The workshop is being held at LBSNAA, Mussoorie, from 6th to 7th October 2025.

NAKSHA Programme:

  • Full Form: National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations
  • It is a one-year pilot project launched under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).

Fourth Edition of “Trade Watch Quarterly”

  • The NITI Aayog launched the fourth edition of “Trade Watch Quarterly” in New Delhi.
  • This report provides a detailed quarterly (three-monthly) analysis of India’s trade performance.

  • The report emphasized the need for India to adapt to the global shift toward non-leather durable products.
  • Markets: North America emerged as India’s strongest export market, registering a 25% growth.

MY Bharat – National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards 2022–23

  • On 6th October 2025, President Droupadi Murmu presented the MY Bharat – National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards for the year 2022–23 at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2025

  • The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the year 2025 has been awarded to three scientists — Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi.

  • The three scientists have been awarded for their discoveries related to "Peripheral Immune Tolerance".
  • This discovery helped explain how the human immune system remains regulated so that it does not attack the body’s own tissues while protecting it from external disease-causing organisms.

World Para Athletics Championships 2025

  • The World Para Athletics Championships 2025 was held in New Delhi, India. It was the 12th edition of the championship and took place from 27 September to 5 October 2025 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

BWF World Junior Championships 2025

  • The BWF World Junior Championships 2025 is being held in Guwahati, Assam, India. India has so far won a total of 11 individual medals in this tournament.

Launching of INS Androth

  • The Indian Navy launched its second anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft (ASW-SWC), INS Androth, at Visakhapatnam on 6 October 2025. The ceremony was presided over by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command.

FIDC Granted SRO Status

  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted the Financial Industry Development Council (FIDC) the status of a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO). Under this recognition, FIDC will serve as a representative body for Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) that are registered with the RBI and operate in the field of asset and loan financing.

  • Raman Agrawal, CEO of FIDC, has been appointed to this new role.
  • So far, the RBI allows recognition of a maximum of two SROs for the NBFC sector, and FIDC will join the two other SROs in the microfinance sector.

Approval for 5G Core Network Testing

  • The Telecom Security Testing Lab (TSTL) of Inceptor Technologies Foundation at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has received approval from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India for 5G core network testing.
  • This is the first government-recognized laboratory capable of testing 21 key core network functions under security standards for 5G Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) and 5G Group-I equipment.

Poland Joins NATO Fuel Pipeline Network

  • Twenty-five years after joining NATO, Poland has decided to connect to the alliance’s fuel pipeline network.
  • The project involves an investment of €4.7 billion, to be implemented jointly by Poland’s national pipeline operator PERN and the Ministry of Defence.

Resignation of French Prime Minister

Coral Reef Protection and Restoration

  • The Philippines has initiated the establishment of Southeast Asia’s first coral larva cryobank to protect endangered coral reefs. This initiative is being led by the Marine Science Institute of the University of the Philippines.

  • In this cryobank, coral larvae will be preserved at extremely low temperatures using cryopreservation techniques, enabling future restoration of coral reefs and research.
