Employment Growth Situation in India
- According to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the number of employed persons in India was 475 million in the financial year 2017-18, which increased to 643.3 million in the financial year 2023-24.
- Thus, approximately 168.3 million new jobs were created over six years.

Inauguration of Patna Metro Blue Line
- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Blue Line of Patna Metro on 6 October 2025.

- Balod district in Chhattisgarh has been declared India’s first child marriage-free district by the state government, achieving the target of zero child marriage cases across all 436 Gram Panchayats and 9 urban local bodies.
- This achievement comes under the national campaign ‘Child Marriage-Free India’ launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27 August 2024.
- The Chhattisgarh government aims to declare the entire state child marriage-free by 2028-29.
