The PM-SETU scheme
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the PM-SETU scheme ( Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs) during Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
- With an investment of ₹60,000 crore, the scheme aims to create a future-ready workforce aligned with global and national skill demands.
Aadhaar updates for children charges waived
- Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has waived charges for Aadhaar biometric updates for children aged up to 5 to 17 years.

Higher Charges for Vehicles Without Valid FASTag
- The Indian government has amended the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, establishing a tiered penalty system for vehicles without a valid FASTag.

World’s Highest Motorable Road
- Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under Project Himank has surpassed its own Guinness World Record by constructing the world’s highest motorable road at Mig La Pass, 19,400 feet above sea level in Ladakh.
Agricultural University Seats
- Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced plans to fill 20 percent of undergraduate seats in agricultural universities through an all-India competitive examination which will be implemented from the 2025-26 academic year.
TEC Signed MoU with IIIT Naya Raipur
- The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), the technical arm of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Naya Raipur to jointly pursue research, innovation, and standardization in next-generation telecommunications technologies.

Unemployment rate dipped
- According to the Labour and Employment Ministry, employment in India rose to 64 crore 33 lakh in 2023-24 compared to 47 crore 50 lakh in 2017-18 and the unemployment rate dipped sharply from 6 percent in 2017-18 to 3.2 percent in 2023-24.

- Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in Bastar Dussehra Lokotsav at Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh which is a unique, 75-day-long festival held in the Bastar and this festival does not involve burning an effigy of Ravana and is instead a celebration of the region's tribal culture and its guardian deity, Goddess Danteshwari.
