‘Samudra Se Samriddhi’ programme
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the ‘Samudra Se Samriddhi’ programme in Bhavnagar, Gujarat and also inaugurated the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal along with several major maritime projects valued at more than 7,800 crore rupees.
India-ISA 15-Year Contract
- Ministry of Earth Sciences and the International Seabed Authority (ISA) signed a new 15-year contract for exclusive rights to explore Polymetallic Sulphides (PMS) in Carlsberg Ridge in the Indian Ocean.
- With this, India has become the first country in the world to hold two contracts with ISA for PMS exploration, of which one is in the Central Indian Ridge and Southwest Indian Ridge and another in the Carlsberg Ridge.

GST grievance redressal
- Department of Consumer Affairs has enabled GST grievance redressal on the National Consumer Helpline as part of Next-Gen GST Reforms by which consumers can now lodge their complaints in seventeen languages via toll-free number 1915 or through the INGRAM portal.

MoU for building and operating a fleet
- The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) and national oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation have entered into a MoU (memorandum of understanding) to collaborate for building and operating a fleet.
GRSE signed a contract
- Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd. has signed a contract worth $62.44 million with a Hamburg-based German shipping company ‘Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler und Reederei GmbH & Co. KG’ for the construction of four hybrid multi-purpose vessels.
