25th Anniversary of CCIL
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra addressed the 25th anniversary of the Clearing Corporation of India (CCIL) held in Mumbai.

India’s Sovereign Rating
- The Japanese rating agency Rating and Investment Information, Inc. (R&I) has upgraded India’s sovereign rating from ‘BBB’ to ‘BBB+’.
- The outlook has been maintained as stable, reflecting India’s economic stability, strong domestic demand, and improved fiscal management.
- Earlier, S&P upgraded India’s rating in August 2025, and Morningstar DBRS did so in May 2025.
India’s Foreign Exchange Reserves
- In the week ending 12 September 2025, India’s foreign exchange reserves increased by USD 4.698 billion, reaching a total of USD 702.966 billion.
- This marks the third consecutive week of rise, indicating India’s economic stability.
