Passenger Service Day 2025

  • Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu launched the initiative “Passenger Service Day 2025” across all airports in the country.
  • The first launch took place at Hindon Airport (Ghaziabad).
  • Objective: To provide every air passenger with the best travel experience, world-class facilities, and respectful services.

Agreement between Department of Posts and BSNL

  • The Department of Posts and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New Delhi to expand BSNL’s mobile connectivity across the country.
  • Under this agreement, BSNL SIM cards will be sold through more than 1.65 lakh post offices across India.

  • The United States and Saudi Arabia concluded the largest exercise against unmanned aerial systems (UAS) held in West Asia.

  • A total of 20 unmanned aerial systems were deployed simultaneously.
  • The US Central Command (CENTCOM) described it as its most ambitious “Red Sands” exercise to date.

Agreement on Nuclear Denuclearization

  • South Korea and the United States have agreed on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
  • On 17 September 2025, South Korea’s National Security Advisor, Y. Sung-lak, stated that the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is the ultimate goal.

  • The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has, for the first time, introduced a new category for content creators and social media influencers in NECA 2025 to recognize their contribution in spreading energy conservation messages.

India’s GDP Growth Rate

  • Earlier, the scheme was limited to intermediate pass youth only.
  • Now, graduates aged 20–25 years, who are neither studying nor employed, will receive a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 for a maximum of two years.

Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron

  • The Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron (1TS) has reached Mozambique to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Mozambique (1975–2025).
  • The squadron includes INS Teer, INS Shardul, INS Sujata, and the Indian Coast Guard ship Sarathi.
  • The squadron arrived in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, on 16 September 2025.

ISSF World Cup Final 2025

  • Eight Indian shooters have secured their places in the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final 2025.
  • The event will be held from 4 December 2025 in Doha, Qatar.
  • Manu Bhaker is the only Indian shooter to qualify in two events: Women’s 10m Air Pistol and Women’s 25m Pistol.

GW190412 Event

  • Scientists have, for the first time, successfully measured the direction and speed of a baby black hole after its formation through the GW190412 event.
  • This event was recorded on 12 April 2019 by the LIGO and Virgo gravitational-wave detectors, when two black holes of unequal masses merged.

  • This discovery represents the first direct measurement of the “net kick” of a black hole, made possible by gravitational wave observatories like LIGO (USA) and Virgo (Italy).

Open AGI Network Launch

  • The US-India AI startup, Sentient, has launched an open-source Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) network.
  • Under this network, access has been provided to 2 million (20 lakh) waiting users.

Global Innovation Index 2025

  • The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) released the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2025.
  • The index measures the innovation performance of around 139 economies based on approximately 80 indicators.

According to the report:

  • India’s Rank: 38th, in 2015: 81st
  • India has been the longest consistently performing country along with Vietnam
  • Most Innovative Economies: Switzerland is at the top of the index, followed by Sweden, the United States, South Korea, and Singapore
  • Top Innovation Clusters: Shenzhen–Hong Kong–Guangzhou (China and Hong Kong), followed by Tokyo–Yokohama (Japan), and San Jose–San Francisco (United States)
