National News

Inauguration of the 2nd National Conference of ANTF Chiefs

  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the 2nd National Conference of Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Chiefs from States and Union Territories in New Delhi on 16 September 2025.
  • The conference will continue for two days and is being organized by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Departmental Summit of National AYUSH Mission 2025

  • In the National AYUSH Mission Departmental Summit 2025 held in New Delhi, “IT-enabled digital services in various sectors” was identified as a key sub-theme.
  • As a follow-up, Kerala will organize a two-day National AYUSH Mission workshop on “IT Solutions in the AYUSH Sector” in Kottayam, Kerala on 18–19 September.

Second Phase of ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’

  • The second phase of the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ will be held from 3 October to 18 October.

  • Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh launched the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ from 29 May to 12 June 2025 under the Prime Minister’s ‘Lab to Land’ vision and visited various states to interact directly with farmers and address their problems.
  • In the first phase, 2,170 teams of scientists visited village after village.

Announcement of the Expansion of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana

  • Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia announced the expansion of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in Morena and laid the foundation of the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) at the Head Post Office.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana:

  • Launch: January 2015, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign
  • Objective: To ensure savings and financial security for the future of girl children

Eligibility:

  • Accounts can be opened in the name of girls aged 0–10 years
  • A maximum of two daughters per family can have accounts
  • Account Opening Location: Any post office or bank branch in India

“CORP-CON 2025”

  • NALSAR University and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) jointly organized the national conference “CORP-CON 2025” in Hyderabad on 12 September 2025.

Agreement between C-DOT and PNB

  • The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab National Bank (PNB).
  • The agreement has been made to strengthen PNB’s IT infrastructure and accelerate the bank’s technology transformation journey.

Launch of 'DSC A22'

  • The third vessel, 'DSC A22', of the 05x Diving Support Craft (DSC) project built by M/s Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL), Kolkata for the Indian Navy, was launched at Titagarh, Kolkata (West Bengal).
  • The Ministry of Defence and M/s Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL), Kolkata had signed a contract on 12 February 2021 for the construction of 5 Diving Support Crafts (DSC).

Use of Secure Mobile Ecosystem, SAMBHAV

  • This phone has been designed to enable end-to-end secure communication.

“Siom Prahar” Military Exercise

  • The Indian Army conducted an exercise named “Siom Prahar” in Arunachal Pradesh to enhance the use of drone technology in modern warfare.
