- Economic Times World Leaders Forum 2025 was organised in New Delhi which was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Leaders.
All India Speakers Conference
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a two-day All India Speakers Conference at the Delhi Assembly to commemorate the centenary year of Vitthalbhai Patel assuming the office of Speaker of the Central Legislative Assembly as the first elected speaker in the country.
- Speakers of 29 state assemblies and chairmen and vice chairmen of legislative councils in six states will attend the conference.

- Union Coal Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy informed Centre will set up a mineral trading exchange similar to the London Metal Exchange in accordance with SEBI’s norms in Hyderabad.
Indian Postal services temporarily suspend to US
- Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications temporarily suspended all postal articles to the US from 25th of August following an Executive Order by the US government under which the duty-free exemption for goods valued up to 800 dollars will be withdrawn with effect from 29th of August.

Integrated Air Defence Weapon System
- · Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted the maiden flight Tests of the Integrated Air Defence Weapon System (IADWS) off the coast of Odisha.
- · IADWS is a multi-layered air defence system comprising all indigenous Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM), Advanced Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) missiles and a high-power laser-based Directed Energy Weapon (DEW).
