ECI uploads list of 6.5 million voters in Bihar

  • The Election Commission of India (ECI) has uploaded the list of 6.5 million voters removed from the draft electoral roll in Bihar, published on August 1, 2025, after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
  • The Supreme Court has directed the ECI to ensure the list is uploaded by August 19 and to submit a compliance report before the next hearing on August 22, 2025.

Inauguration of First Women-Based Food Hub

  • Union Minister and North Mumbai MP Piyush Goyal inaugurated “Mouli”, India’s first fully women-operated Clean Street Food Hub, in Kandivali.
  • This initiative, launched under FSSAI’s “Eat Right India” campaign, aims to promote women empowerment, food safety, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
  • The hub will be managed by women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) who have received FoSTaC food safety training.

India’s Merchandise Exports: July 2025

  • India’s merchandise exports rose by 7.3% to USD 37.24 billion in July 2025.
  • The growth was driven mainly by engineering goods, gems and jewelry, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and organic & inorganic chemicals.

Compostable Bio-Plastic
