Inauguration of Flats for Members of Parliament

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 184 newly constructed Type-VII multi-storey flats for Members of Parliament at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi.
  • The project has been designed keeping in mind the functional requirements of Members of Parliament and in accordance with the National Building Code 2016.

Flagging Off of Vande Bharat Train

  • On 10 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Amritsar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat train from Bengaluru’s KSR Railway Station.
  • The train will operate six days a week (closed on Tuesdays) and completes its journey in approximately 5 hours and 35 minutes.

Foundation Stone of ‘BRAHMA’ Project

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stone of the ‘BRAHMA’ (BEML Rail Hub for Manufacturing) project of Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), to be set up in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh at a cost of ₹1,800 crore.

  • This will be BEML's second railway coach rolling stock unit, the first is in Bengaluru.

Inauguration of Namma Metro Yellow Line

  • On 10 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Yellow Line of Bengaluru’s Namma Metro, stretching 19.15 km from RV Road (Raggigudda) to Bommasandra.
  • The line comprises 16 stations and has been constructed at a cost of ₹7,160 crore.

  • Along with this, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the third phase of the metro network, which will include over 44 km of elevated tracks and 31 stations, costing around ₹15,610 crore.

Implementation of ‘Disha Abhiyan’ in Maharashtra

  • The Government of Maharashtra has implemented the ‘Disha Abhiyan’ with the objective of providing equal and inclusive education to children with intellectual disabilities.
  • The campaign is a structured and uniform education model developed in collaboration with the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) and the Jai Vakeel Foundation, and is being implemented across India.
