Approval for 4-Lane Permakudi–Ramanathapuram Section in Tamil Nadu
- On 1st July 2025, the Union Cabinet approved the project to expand the 46.7 km stretch from Permakudi to Ramanathapuram (NH-87) into a 4-lane highway in Tamil Nadu, at a total cost of ₹1,853 crore.

10th Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
- The 10th Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (QFMM) was held on 1st July 2025 in Washington D.C., USA.
- The meeting was hosted by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and attended by India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong, and Japan’s Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi.

Hindi Teachers of Sri Lankan Government Schools
- For the first time, Hindi teachers from Sri Lankan government schools will undergo training in India under a special programme at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (KHS), Agra.

14% Increase in Remittances
- According to the latest data compiled by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), remittances sent by Indians working abroad witnessed a significant 14% increase in the financial year 2024–25.
- The total amount reached a record $135.46 billion, marking the highest level ever.
