Successful Test of 'Rudrastra'
- On 11 June 2025, a successful test of the hybrid Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) 'Rudrastra' was conducted at the Pokhran Firing Range in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
- Developed by Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited (SDAL), the UAV was tested in the presence of the Indian Army.
- During the mission, Rudrastra accurately engaged the target and safely returned to the launch point.

Vijay Rupani
- Former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, tragically passed away at the age of 68 on 12 June 2025 in a devastating plane crash.
- He was travelling on Air India Flight AI-171 from Ahmedabad to London to meet his wife and daughter.
- The aircraft crashed into a residential area near Ahmedabad just minutes after takeoff, resulting in the death of 241 people, including Vijay Rupani. Among the deceased were 230 passengers, 2 pilots, and 10 crew members, along with 24 local residents.
