‘One Tree for My Mother’ Initiative
- On the occasion of World Environment Day (5 June 2025), Prime Minister Narendra Modi advanced the ‘One Tree for My Mother’ initiative by planting a sapling at the Bhagwan Mahavir Vanasthali Park in Delhi.
- As part of the program, he also launched the Aravalli Green Wall Project, aimed at transforming the Aravalli mountain range into a continuous forested region.
- Under the ‘One Tree for My Mother’ 2.0 campaign, a target has been set to plant 10 crore (100 million) trees.

200 New Electric Buses Flagged Off
- On the occasion of World Environment Day (5 June 2025), Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off 200 new electric buses in Delhi to promote green and clean urban transport.
- These buses will operate under the Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector (DEVI) Scheme and are fully air-conditioned, equipped with GPS, CCTV cameras, ramps for the differently-abled, panic buttons, and other modern facilities.
