81st Annual General Meeting of IATA
- The 81st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) was held on 2nd June 2025 in New Delhi.
- The last time India hosted the AGM was 42 years ago, in 1983.

Inauguration of New CFSL Building
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the new building of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) on 1st June 2025 in New Town near Kolkata.
- This new facility will help strengthen the criminal justice system in West Bengal and the northeastern region of India.

23 Monuments Proposed for Protected Heritage List
- The Uttar Pradesh State Archaeology Directorate has surveyed 115 sites across 25 districts, including Lucknow.
- Out of these, 23 monuments have been recommended for inclusion in the protected heritage list. The list also includes the historic Alambagh Bhavan.

New Banknotes Issued in Bangladesh
- From 1st June 2025, Bangladesh has issued new banknotes that no longer feature the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country's founding father and former Prime Minister.
- Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was also the father of current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been replaced by images of Hindu and Buddhist temples, historical palaces, natural landscapes, and traditional sites on the new currency notes.
