Aggregator policy for app-based cab services

• · The Maharashtra government has notified its long-awaited aggregator policy for app-based cab services such as Ola and Uber. The policy introduces rules for fares, driver training, EV adoption, as well as financial penalties for cancellations.

Inclusion of Goa’s Tribals

• For the empowerment Goa’s tribal communities, the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) has called for immediate land ownership rights for tribal farmers and recommended the inclusion of Goa under the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution.

Banu Mushtaq won International Booker Prize, 2025

• Banu Mushtaq became the first Indian author writing in Kannada to won the International Booker Prize in London for her short story collection ‘Heart Lamp’.
• Her award-winning work, Heart Lamp, is a collection of twelve short stories translated into English by Deepa Bhasthi.
