Revamped OCI Portal
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the new Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Portal in New Delhi.
- The new portal will provide enhanced functionality, advanced security, and a user-friendly experience for the existing over 5 million OCI cardholders and new users.

Agri conference on ‘Convergence for Action’
- Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the Annual Conference of Vice-Chancellors of Agricultural Universities and Directors of ICAR Institutes in New Delhi.
- The theme of the conference is ‘Convergence for Action: Shaping Agricultural Research, Education and Extension for Viksit Bharat at 2047.
e-book of the electronic Civil List, 2025
- Union Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh launched an e-book of the electronic Civil List, 2025- a digital compendium of serving Indian Administrative Service officers across the country.
e-Zero FIR initiative
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched e-Zero FIR initiative on a pilot basis in Delhi.
- The Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) has introduced a new system that automatically converts financial cybercrime complaints with a fraud value above ₹10 lakh, and registered on the 1930 helpline or cybercrime.gov.in portal, into first information reports (FIRs).

Statue of 19th Gyalsras Kushok Bakula Rinpochey
- Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju unveiled a statue of 19th Gyalsras Kushok Bakula Rinpochey at Shardhanjali Park in Leh.
- Kushok Bakula Rinpochey is regarded as the architect of modern Ladakh for his selfless contributions in various fields of life and was awarded with the Padma Bhushan in 1988.
Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp
- Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, launched the Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp in New Delhi and also released Primers in Indian languages and Special Modules in thirteen languages.
- Primers in Indian languages have been specially developed to support foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) by using the child’s mother tongue, home, or local language.

Draft on REs’ AIF investments
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issued revised draft directions on investment by Regulated Entities (REs) in Alternate Investment Funds (AIFs) after observing its regulatory steps brought financial discipline among REs concerning investments in AIFs.
- As per the draft, a single RE’s contribution to any AIF scheme will be capped at 10% of corpus and collectively a ceiling of 15% will apply for investment by all REs in AIF scheme.

Reliance Power pact with Bhutan’s Green Digital
- Reliance Power Ltd. said it signed a commercial term sheet for long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Green Digital Private Ltd. (GDL), owned by Druk Holding and Investments Ltd. (DHI), the investment arm of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
New barcodes
- The next-generation QR Codes will be introduced by GS1, a global standards organisation, from 2027 to bring in more transparency, traceability and to protect consumer interest.
- GS1 is a not-for-profit, international organization developing and maintaining its own standards for barcodes and the corresponding issue company prefixes.

Sodium-ion battery
- A research team at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) has developed a super-fast charging sodium-ion battery (SIB) based on a NASICON-type cathode and anode material, that can charge up to 80% in just six minutes and last over 3000 charge cycles.

- Indian Navy will induct and unveil the name of the Ancient Stitched Ship which is a recreation of a 5th century CE ship, inspired by a painting from the Ajanta Caves.
- The project was formally initiated through a tripartite agreement signed in Jul 2023 between the Ministry of Culture, the Indian Navy, and M/s Hodi Innovations, with funding from the Ministry of Culture.
