Agreement between MSDE and Meta

  • The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has partnered with Meta to provide information related to employment opportunities, training programs, courses, and nearby skill centers directly to people via WhatsApp.

Inauguration of Weapon System Testing Centre

  • An Automated Automotive and Weapon System Testing Centre has been inaugurated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
  • This centre has been established at the Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Related Facts:

This centre will provide state-of-the-art facilities for testing and evaluation of modern weapon systems and military vehicles, thereby promoting indigenous defence production and self-reliance.

Restrictions on Various Products from Bangladesh

  • The Government of India has imposed an immediate ban on the import of ready-made garments (RMG), processed food, fruit/fruit-flavored and carbonated beverages, cotton waste, plastic and PVC products, wooden furniture, etc. from Bangladesh through land routes.

  • The Indian Postal Department has issued a special commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory (KSO).

  • Miss Estonia Eliz Randma won the gold medal at the 72nd Miss World Sports Challenge.
