Inauguration of ‘Bharat Bodh Kendra’
- Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, inaugurated the ‘Bharat Bodh Kendra’ at the India Habitat Centre (IHC) in New Delhi.
- This center is a new addition to the Habitat Library and Resource Centre (HLRC) at IHC. Its objective is to promote awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural and civilizational heritage.
| The Bharat Bodhi Centre will house specially selected books and resources on Indian art, music, spirituality, history, philosophy and other related subjects. |
“National Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme”
- The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) organized a dynamic and interactive training programme on 10th May 2025 in New Delhi under the “National Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme.”
- The objective of this programme is to promote greater accountability, compassion, and a citizen-centric approach among public servants.
| The programme was organised in collaboration with Mission Karmayogi and Capacity Building Commission with the aim to sensitise public servants towards their professional responsibilities, strengthen their sense of service and motivate them to bring about a positive change in the lives of citizens. |

Military Ceasefire: India-Pakistan
- India and Pakistan reached a formal agreement on a military ceasefire on 10 May 2025.
- The agreement followed talks between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries, where it was decided that all forms of military actions and firing across land, air, and sea would be completely halted from 5 PM on 10 May.

Russia proposes peace talks with Ukraine
- Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed direct peace talks with Ukraine, offering to begin negotiations without preconditions on May 15, 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey.
- The proposal comes 39 months after the Russia-Ukraine war, when the two countries have been locked in a continuous conflict since February 2022 with heavy loss of life and property.
US-China Trade Talks
- A high-level trade dialogue between the United States and China was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
- The talks aimed at reducing trade tensions between the two major economies.
- The delegations were led by US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent, US Trade Representative Jamison Greer, and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.
