Strict Instructions to All Media Channels

- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a strict advisory to all media channels, news agencies, digital platforms, and social media users, directing them to avoid live coverage of defense operations and activities of security forces.

The direction comes under Rule 6(1)(p) of the Cable Television Networks (Amendment) Rules, 2021, which clearly states that live coverage of any counter-terrorism operation is prohibited and violation of this will attract action. |

MoU between DGPC and Adani Group

| The project is based on the already operational 570/900 MW Wangchu Hydroelectric Project, in which DGPC has a 51% stake and Adani Group a 49% stake. The new MoU will expand this partnership to 5,000 MW. |
