Landing of fighter jets on Ganga Expressway
- For the first time on Ganga Expressway, fighter jets of Indian Air Force performed unprecedented practice of landing and take-off during both day and night.
- On a 3.5 km long special strip in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, fighter jets like Rafale, Mirage-2000, Jaguar, Mig-29, SU-30 MKI and transport aircraft like C-130J Super Hercules, AN-32 successfully demonstrated the ability to use the expressway as an alternate runway in times of war and disaster.
