"Amrit Gyaan Kosh" Portal

  • Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh launched "Amrit Gyaan Kosh" Portal to strengthen governance training.

4th IIGF 2024

Noida International Airport, Jewar

  • Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh has completed its first flight validation test, set to start full operations next year.

Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion Incentive Scheme

  • The Uttar Pradesh government announced that those development authorities that do not have land will now be provided financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion Incentive Scheme.
  • 12 development authorities under this scheme: Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Baghpat, Basti, Bulandshahr-Khurja, Rae Bareli, Meerut, Firozabad, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Saharanpur, and Kapilvastu development authorities.

9th edition of Handbook of Statistics on Indian States, 2023-24

  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the 9th edition of its statistical publication, Handbook of Statistics on Indian States, 2023-24.
  • In this edition, the RBI has updated existing data series and introduced eight new tables on key indicators, which include the Gender Parity Index of Gross Enrolment Ratio by levels of school education, Gross State Value Added (both current and constant prices), afforestation under different schemes, and state-wise data on average cold wave and heat wave days.

DPIIT signed MoU with Flipkart

  • The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed an MoU with Flipkart, to support and empower tech start-ups across India.

CPI-AL and CPI-RL

  • The All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) (Base: 1986-87=100) registered an increase of 11 points and 10 points in the months of October 2024, reaching levels of 1315 and 1326, respectively.
  • The year-on-year inflation rates based on CPI-AL and CPI-RL for the month of October, 2024 were recorded at 5.96% and 6.00%, respectively, compared to 7.08% and 6.92% in October, 2023.

82nd Golden Globe Awards

  • Filmmaker Payal Kapadia became the first Indian director to be nominated for the Best Director (Motion Picture) category at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards for her film "All We Imagine As Light".
  • The film has also been nominated for Best Motion Picture – (Non-English Language), marking two nominations at this prestigious event.
The film has also won Best International Film at the New York Film Critics Circle and Best International Feature at the Gotham Awards 2024.
