Golden Jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Congress

  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the golden jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Congress at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar.
The All India Police Science Congress (AIPSC) was first held in 1960 in Patna, Bihar.

Gabon approved a new constitution

Key findings of Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS): July – September 2024

  • Urban Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) for individuals aged 15 and above, rose from 49.3% in July-Sept 2023 to 50.4% in July-Sept 2024.
  • Urban male LFPR (Age 15 and above) increased from 73.8% in July-Sept 2023 to 75.0% in July-Sept 2024.
  • Urban female LFPR (Age 15 and above) rose from 24.0% in July-Sept 2023 to 25.5% in July-Sept 2024.
  • Urban Worker Population Ratio (WPR), Age 15 and above, increased from 46.0% in July-Sept 2023 to 47.2% in July-Sept 2024.
  • Urban male WPR (Age 15 and above) rose from 69.4% in July-Sept 2023 to 70.7% in July-Sept 2024.
  • The urban unemployment rate (Age 15 and above) decreased from 6.6% in July-Sept 2023 to 6.4% in July-Sept 2024.
  • The urban unemployment rate for males (Age 15 and above) decreased from 6.0% in July-Sept 2023 to 5.7% in July-Sept 2024, while for females, it fell from 8.6% to 8.4% during the same period.

  • Died: 17th June 1858
  • Married to Gangadhar Rao Newalkar, the Maharaja of Jhansi and got the name of Rani Lakshmibai.
  • Childhood Name: ‘Manikarnika’ or Manu
  • Indian National Army named its first female unit in 1943 after Rani.
  • Jhansi was annexed by the Doctrine of Lapse in 1853.
