Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show-2024

Context

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show-2024' on January 9, a day before the start of the biennial 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) in Gujarat.

Key Points

  • As part of the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show-2024’ was organised by the Government of Gujarat at the Helipad Ground in Gandhinagar.
  • Various 13 themes have been decided for the trade show including ‘Make in Gujarat’ and ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’.

Partner Countries

  • More than a thousand exhibitors from research fields from 20 countries of the world participated in this global trade show.
  • This global trade show includes Australia, Tanzania, Morocco, Mozambique, South Korea, Thailand, Estonia, Bangladesh, Singapore, United Arab Emirates (UAE), United Kingdom (UK), Germany, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, Russia, Rwanda, Japan.
  • A total of 20 countries including Indonesia and Vietnam displayed information about their respective industries.
  • The trade show was attended by 110 countries as guest countries, while 33 countries participated as partner countries.

Important Focus Sectors

  • In this Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show, companies displayed products made with world-class cutting-edge technology.
  • Some of the focus sectors of the trade show were e-mobility, start-ups, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), blue economy, green energy and smart infrastructure.
  • The trade show showcased state-of-the-art products and services in sectors such as Agriculture & Food Processing, Automobile & Auto Components, Ceramics, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Gems & Jewellery, Pharmaceuticals and Ports & Marine.
  • Apart from this, other industries including textile and garment, electric vehicle, green hydrogen, aircraft and allied industries, renewable energy, semiconductor and electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM), fintech, cyber security, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are also attracting attraction.
