Article 370

• Supreme Court has upheld the validity of Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution of India, which granted special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
• The Centre in 2019 scrapped Article 370 and split the state into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

• India voted in favour of the ceasefire resolution in the UNGA's Emergency Session on the West Asia.

Global River Cities Alliance

• Global River Cities Alliance (GRCA), led by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti was launched at COP28, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai, UAE.
• GRCA is a unique alliance covering 275+ global river-cities in 11 countries, international funding agencies and knowledge management partners and is first of its kind in the world.
