Climate Change Performance Index
- India has been placed 7th in this year's Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI).
- The Index evaluates the climate mitigation efforts of 63 countries and the European Union, covering over 90 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions.

Centre bans export of onions

Growth rate of 7.7 per cent
- PM Narendra Modi has said that Indian Economy has recorded growth rate of 7.7 per cent during the first six month of current fiscal.
Repo rate unchanged at 6.5 percent
- Reserve Bank of India has kept the policy repo rate unchanged at 6.5 % in its monetary review meeting.
- The central bank has proposed to hike the limit of UPI transactions in hospitals and educational institutions from one lakh rupees to 5 lakhs.
