Growth rate of 7.7 per cent

 Repo rate unchanged at 6.5 percent

• Reserve Bank of India has kept the policy repo rate unchanged at 6.5 % in its monetary review meeting.
• The central bank has proposed to hike the limit of UPI transactions in hospitals and educational institutions from one lakh rupees to 5 lakhs.

• Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has said that India is looking at becoming the 3rd largest economy in the world and the vision is to create India as a manufacturing base, technology hub and innovation center of the world.
