India Infrastructure Report 2023

• India Infrastructure Report 2023 on Urban Planning and Development was released by Shri Venkaiah Naidu, former Vice-President of India.
• The report contains 25 chapters by prominent names in the urban development and policy ecosystem on the current state of urban development in India.

“Gram Manchitra”

• Ministry of Panchayati Raj had launched the Geographic Information System application “Gram Manchitra” in order to encourage the Spatial Planning by the Gram Panchayat.
• This application facilitates and supports Gram Panchayats to perform planning at Gram Panchayat level using geo-spatial technology.

National Traders’ Welfare Board

• The first meeting of the National Traders’ Welfare Board (NTWB), constituted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), was held at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.

Cyber Surakshit Bharat Initiative

• National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under its Capacity Building scheme, organised the 40th CISO Deep-Dive training programme under Cyber Surakshit Bharat Initiative.
• The purpose of the programme is to spread awareness, build capacity as well as enable Government departments on steps that need to be taken to create a cyber-resilient eco system.

Suvidha Samagam Meeting

• A Suvidha Samagam meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General, ESIC was held at ESIC Headquarters, New Delhi.

iGOT Karmayogi Platform

• On the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) on 3rd December, 2023, a new Accessibility Widget was launched at the iGOT Karmayogi Platform.
• iGOT Karmayogi is a comprehensive online learning portal to guide government officials in their capacity-building journey.

 PM-Kisan Scheme

• The government has introduced Face recognition and Aadhaar identification based eKYC of farmers to ensure transparency in the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme (PM-Kisan).
• PM-KISAN Scheme was launched in February 2019 to provide financial assistance to all cultivable landholding farmer families across the country.

Asian Ranger Forum

• First Asian Ranger Forum began in Guwahati with the aim to provide a unique opportunity to the rangers and organisations from the Asian region to collaborate on the issues affecting rangers globally and to provide solutions.

• FIVB (Federation Internationale de Volleyball) Men's Volleyball Club World Championship 2023 will commence at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.
• This is the first time that the prestigious tournament will be held in India.
