511 rural skill development centres

• PM Narendra Modi will launch 511 Pramod Mahajan Grameen Kaushalya Vikas Kendras in Maharashtra.

Renewable energy project in Ladakh

• Government has approved the project on Green Energy Corridor Phase- 2- Inter-State Transmission System for 13 Giga Watt Renewable Energy Project in Ladakh.

MSPE/16-307 and Kufri Sukhyati 

• Recommendations were made to introduce two new varieties of potatoes for cultivation in various regions of the country at the 41st All India Coordinated Research Project on Potato in Haryana. 
• These varieties, namely MSPE/16-307 and Kufri Sukhyati, are known for their high yield potential and extended storage capacity.

RAPIDX

• PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate India's first Regional Rail, RAPIDX from Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh. 
• The first phase will cover a distance of 17 kilometers which includes a total of five stations - Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot.

Total Foodgrain Production

• Union Agriculture Ministry has said that total foodgrain production in the country is estimated at a record of nearly 3 thousand 297 Lakh tonnes.

MSP for Rabi Crops

• Government has approved Minimum Support Prices for six Rabi Crops for Marketing Season 2024-25. 
• The highest increase of 425 rupees per quintal has been approved for lentil (masur) followed by increase of 200 rupees per quintal each for rapeseed and mustard.

Penalty on ICICI & Kotak Mahindra Bank

• RBI has imposed a monetary penalty of 12.19 Crore rupees on ICICI Bank and 3.95 Crore rupees on Kotak Mahindra Bank due to violations of various provisions of the Banking Regulation Act and directions of RBI.
