DOLR signs MoU with NRSC

• Department of Land Resources, DOLR and National Remote Sensing Centre, NRSC signed an MoU for monitoring of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana - Watershed Development Component, WDC 2.O. 
• It aims to restore the ecological balance by harnessing, conserving, and developing degraded natural resources such as soil and water.

 Defence

 Cash prizes for Armed Forces personnel

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced cash prizes for Armed Forces personnel for winning medals at 19th Asian Games. 
• An amount of 25 lakh rupees would be given to the Gold medal winners and Silver medal winners would get rupees 15 lakh. 
• 10 lakh rupees would be awarded to the Bronze medal winners.

Indian Coast Guard Training Ship

• Defence Ministry signed a contract for the construction of one Training Ship for the Indian Coast Guard with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited at a cost of 310 crore rupees. 
• This is the first dedicated training platform with integral helicopter capabilities.

• Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved a list of 303 sportspersons across 17 sporting disciplines for participation in the upcoming Asian Para Games in China.
