E-Bus Service
- The Central Government has announced to run 10,000 new electric buses in 100 cities under the 'PM E-Bus' service.
- The scheme will cover cities with a population of 3 lakhs and above.

Indian Railway projects approved
- Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved 7 multi-tracking projects of Indian Railways.
- The projects will be fully funded by the Central Government and will cover 39 districts in 9 states of the country.

Expansion of Digital India Program
- The Union Cabinet approved the expansion of Digital India project with an outlay of Rs 14,903 crore.
- The expanded program aims to re-skill 6.25 lakh IT professionals and train another 2.65 lakh people in information security.

G-20 Health Ministers' Meeting

Under 20 World Championship
- Indian wrestler Mohit Kumar has won the Under-20 World Championship in the men's 61 kg freestyle category in Amman City, Jordan.
- Mohit became the fourth Indian freestyle wrestler to win the Junior World Championship by defeating Eldar Akhmadudinov of Russia by nine points in the final.

- The fourth phase of Archery World Cup is starting in Paris, France.
- India's 16-member archery team is participating in this competition.

Pibot
- A team of engineers and researchers from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is developing a humanoid robot named 'Pibot' that can fly a plane without modifying the cockpit.

- The Madras High Court directed the Central government to release funds to relocate all residents of Thengumarahada village in Tamil Nadu, as the village falls within the protected area of Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.
