Bank - Exam Information



The CWE is the first step in the recruitment process for Management Trainees (MT)/ Probationary Officers (PO), Specialist Officers (SO) and Clerks for 23+ Public Sector Banks & financial institutions and 56 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs).

IBPS conducts two-tier examinations for recruitment of PO/MT and Clerks.
1. Preliminary Examination- It is a one hour exam, having 100 questions. This examination is qualifying in nature.
2. Main Examination- This is a 140 minutes for PO & 135 minutes for clerk exam, having 200 questions.
The score obtained is added in the final score to arrive at the merit list.

Note: Immediately after PO Main online objective test, an experimental Personality test is administered online. Score obtained in personality test is not used for result processing.

SBI PO/Clerical

State Bank of India conducts exams for recruitment of PO & Clerks across SBI and its associate banks. Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks is conducted online. Main Examination consists of Objective Test as well as Descriptive Test. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests are online.

Interview Process (IBPS and SBI)

Those who clear the cut-off score of main examination are called for the interview. The interview is based on industry knowledge and personality traits. SBI conducts a Group Discussion (GD) as well. Depending upon the preference filled by the candidate, he/she is allotted a bank as per his/her final score.
